Who are we??

Holistic Empowerment Institute is the concept of Rev. Valerie Spencer, a healer, behavioral health therapist, cultural visionary, national community leader, and interfaith minister. She has been at the forefront of addressing behavioral health issues as it relates to LGBTQI communities of color.

HEI centers community mental health and healing on a social, cultural and spiritual basis for LGBTQI communities by using Whole-person, Cultural Affirmation, and Spiritual Integration as primary tools to cultivate relationship with one’s own “Sacred Core”.
